Forfeits, Byes and Drop Outs

A.      If your team doesn’t play their league games on Chambers Music Co. Valley pool tables, and these tables only, ALL games for that night will be forfeited and you will NOT be able to make those games up.

B.      If the leagues starts with a BYE, there will be no games counted and no money will need to be turned that night

C.      If a team drops out* after the league starts and causes a BYE, the opposing team will still have to pay the nightly fees and the team will receive their average team and player wins. (No money = no score!)

depending on when the team drops out during the season, will determine who needs to pay what and for how long. We will go by rounds instead of doing it the entire league, for example, say that there are 8 teams in a league and they play for 21 weeks. In this scenario, there would be 3 rounds played at 7 weeks each. If a team  dropped out in the 4th weeks, we would have the opposing teams pay their nightly fees and the teams would receive their average team and player wins for the remaining weeks in that particular round, for the remaining rounds, we would treat the BYE as if the league started with it (no Money will need to be turned in and no score will be given).

D.      If a team drops out, that team forfeits all rights to the end of league payback money that they would have normally received if they would have stayed in the league and finished the season.

E.      If the league starts with a forfeit, the team that played the forfeit team will have an extra week to establish their handicaps. Therefore, as far as establihshing handicaps are concerned, they will play the second week of play as if it were their first week of play (both teams won’t use the handicaps that are in the standings).

F.      FORFEITS – of a team forfeits 2 weeks in a row, that team will be dropped from the league. All teams that forfeit still owe their nightly fees. The team that plays the forfeit team also needs to pay and then they will receive team and player points.
