League Fees and Penalties - 2002
A. SPONSOR FEE: the bar will pay a sponsor fee. If a bar refuses to pay the sponsor fee, it is the team’s responsibility to pay the fee. This fee is NON-TRANSFERABLE; there will be NO REFUNDS given and NO EXCEPTIONS. Teams are required to start and finish the league season at their sponsoring bar (unless extenuating circumstances arise; i.e. bar closure, removal of Chambers Music boards etc.). This fee is due when sign up sheets are collected. The sponsor fees are as follows:
$40.00 per four-player team- fall Leagues,
$30.00 per four-player team- Summer League
B. VNEA SANCTION FEE: For every regular player on a team there will be a mandatory $5.00 charge for the Valley National Eight-ball Association (VNEA) sanction fee. This fee is paid per player/per year and covers all leagues that the individual plays throughout the year (runs through August 31 of the current year to August 31 the following year). A VNEA card is mandatory to play in any national VNEA tournament (i.e. Team Dart in Las Vegas). The sanction fee must be paid and sent to VNEA by the beginning of December. Any dues not paid by December 1 will be subject to a $1.00 increase bringing the fee to $6.00. Subs are not required to pay the VNEA sanction fee until they have played 3 weeks during league season.
C. NIGHTLY FEE: Each player pays $6.00 per night into the league fund. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS! If the money ($24.00) is not turned in (in full): 1. The team owing the money, will receive a forfeit for that nights play even if it is just one player that owes money (NO EXCEPTIONS OR ARRANGEMENTS WILL BE MADE, PERIOD!). A forfeit means that the team that owes money will receive 0 rounds won, 0 games won, and 0 points. The other team will receive total possible rounds won, total possible games won and total possible points (within the scale of the national rules). 2. The team that owes money will no be able to replay or make up the game at a later date and they will also not be able to play until all the money is paid. If a team does not pay their fees two weeks in a row, they will be dropped from the league. If one player (or more) doesn’t pay his/her fee, the rest of the team is responsible to pay this amount. The rest of the team can then worry about collecting the amount due from the player who is behind in paying their fees.) If for some reason, which there should be no reason at all, there is money missing from an envelope the following people will be notified as soon as it is noticed (providing that we have the necessary phone numbers): the League President and effected League Officer, the team captain, the team players, and the sponsoring bar.
D. The nightly fees must be accounted for before league begins and sealed in a League envelope provided by Chambers Music. Both envelopes must be completely filled out and signed by both captains EXCEPTIONS – Protests (see below). Each team captain is responsible to deliver their team's money to a designated drop off location or the following day at Chambers Music Co. (6:00 am - 4:00 pm), unless other arrangements are made with the League Coordinator. Drop-off locations are listed in the captain's packet.
E. Fines and penalties will be levied on any team by 4:00 p.m. the day after league night play for not turning in your money. Fines for late or missing money will be $10.00 the first day late and $5.00 each additional day.
F. Awards and paybacks will be subtracted from paybacks for any team not paying their dues in full. turning in your money.
